Q: What is the best way to store my blueberries?
A: Blueberries keep best when stored in your refrigerator in an open container. I like to use a colander. Blueberries should be completely dry before storing.

Q: What is the best way to freeze blueberries?
A: Simple is best for freezing. Just pick over your berries for stems and any over-ripe fruit. Then place in a freezer bag in your freezer. Don't wash before freezing, just give them a quick rinse before using frozen in your favorite recipe. If you feel you must wash them before freezing - make sure they are completely dry before freezing. Hint: spread your washed berries on a clean dish towel or paper towels in a jelly roll pan or any other shallow rimmed pan and set a small fan on low to help dry them.

Q: What if it rains?
A: Mother Nature can be sneaky. Some days it is raining in surrounding towns, yet clear in Franklin. When in doubt, please check this website, or our Facebook page (@GianettisUpickBlueberries), Instagram (@franklinblueberries) or give us a call at 508-528-9430. But please keep in mind, if there is lightning, we close the field immediately for your safety.

Q: Can I bring my own container to pick in to?
A: YES. We provide plastic bags, but you are more than welcome to bring your own container. Just ask us to weigh it when you arrive so we can subtract your container's weight off of your order. Hint: A pail with a handle makes a great blueberry bucket. Pro-picker hint: Wear a belt that you can loop the pail handle through so you can use both hands to pick.

Q: Can I bring my kids?
A: We love kids - please make sure you adequately supervise them. Most kids love to pick and it is a fun family activity.

Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: We love dogs too, but PLEASE, please, please leave your dog at home. We can't allow dogs in the field and your car is way too hot to leave your pet. We do allow service animals.

Q: Can I use my credit or debit card?
A: We accept cash and personal checks. There is no power in the blueberry field and cell service can be spotty. If you forget, there is an ATM machine at the top of the street.

Q: How much does a pint of blueberries weigh?
A: A pint of blueberries weighs about 3/4 of a pound (12 ounces).

Q: Do you have a restroom?
A: Yes, there is a port-a-john available for our customers.
